How the site works is given in its About section. But I really doubt the veracity of the methodology used.

ReplyDeleteHaha, these are quite random. Kind of fun app. There was a similar site I remember where you had to post a few words as your writing sample. The software would analyse your writing and enlighten you about your writing style. The results would be pleasing since it would reveal "Your writing style is similar to Charles Dickens/Jane Austen/Mark Twain" :P

When I checked my blog http://mindfiasco.blogspot.in/ I expected some sort of a msg, stating "well your brain requires some fine tuning" but instead the result was a shocker, it told me that I'm an idealist and I was compared to the likes of Aldous Huxley, JK Rowling, John Milton, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Shakespeare and Luke Skywalker, I don't have a fare idea as to what is it that I share in common, but it is overwhelming though!

ReplyDeleteBut to be sure I just played with my url and then tried pointing my url with other aliases too finally I got the logic behind it. So on digging more I found http://www.typealyzer.com/?page_id=76 which proves my hypothesis :)
It works by comparing the texts on the provided URL with pre-defined sample texts, now I guess everybody understands the science. :P
Wow...i got Artist. I found it true to a large extent as well....But i still doubt the veracity of this software...they are just random i guess....so, if you retype your blog URL, it will show something else
