Unfortunately, they had a minor accident near deserted vegetation. He opened the bonnet to check. It was already sundown and no one seemed around. Even the cell reception was nil. She bickered and blamed him for their fate. She bitterly said it was better if she hadn't agreed on this stupid trip. He was flustered due to her apathetic nature.
He told her to wait, while he gets some help.
He never returned. He abandoned her and his car.

That will teach her a lesson - but not save their marriage!!

Sometimes self worth is too high a price to pay for a marriage.. I'm glad he did what he did.
ReplyDeleteVery true Violet!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Dear Kislaya,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like he saw his opportunity. Hard to sympathize with her.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Dear Rochelle, you are right - it is difficult to sympathize with her.
DeleteThanks for hosting and reading!
Not how one wants a road trip to go...
ReplyDeleteTrue that! He had different plans while she was still bitter for no reason - may be by nature!
DeleteThanks dale for reading!
I'm not sure their marriage stands a chance, but a terrible way to end it.
ReplyDeleteOne can argue that it is a terrible way to end it. But may be he was just tired of trying time and again!
DeleteBut the judgement lies with the reader.
Thanks Dawn for stopping by and commenting.

DeleteGood he abandoned her. No one wants a nagging wife, poor guy had just wanted to save his marriage.
ReplyDeleteYes you are right Anshu! Effort in a relationship is needed by both partners.
DeleteLike it, he'd had enough eh?
